Our Patriarch and Inspiration
George
George started working for Hollie Higgins in 1960. He worked for Higgins Heating for the ensuing years, a total of 32. He remembers they installed 52 furnaces and delivered half a million gallons of fuel oil in one season. In that time he went from doing sheet metal work in the summer and hauling fuel oil in the winter to being the serviceman in 1965. George later hung up his service tools and became the company’s sheet metal fabricator. His philosophy is: “If a job is worth doing, it is worth doing right.” He believes the customer is always Number 1 and is the most important element of the whole equation. He epitomizes what Higgins Heating stands for today and we are proud of his longstanding service and dedication. George retired a few years ago, but will always be “one of the family.”
